Fukubukuro, or lucky bags, are sets of goods that shops in Japan sell around New Year, often at a lower price than buying each item. Visiting this winter? Here are five cute 2027 bags, with prices, dates and which ones you can actually buy in a store, from official announcements.
Which lucky bags can you buy in a store?
- In store: Sumikko Gurashi × Coffee-kan (from Dec 3), Zoff × Lisa Larson (from the first business day of 2027), DEAN & DELUCA (from the first sale of 2027)
- Online only: Starbucks (lottery), Feiler and Loverary by Feiler
Online-only bags are delivered to an address, so they're hard to fit into a short trip. If you'll be in Japan for a few days, focus on the in-store ones.
Sumikko Gurashi × Coffee-kan Happy Bag 2027
A collab between the Coffee-kan cafe chain and the Sumikko Gurashi characters: a stretchy tote with hidden characters (green or yellow), a pancake cushion, a leather key ring and drip coffee bags (¥4,980 including tax). Bags bought in store also include a voucher for a pancake or sandwich, valid until March 31, 2027.
- In store: Dec 3, 2026 – Feb 28, 2027, while supplies last
- Where: Coffee-kan cafes across Japan (some excluded)
- Japanese name: すみっコぐらし 珈琲館 ハッピーバッグ2027
Zoff × Lisa Larson Lucky Bag 2027
From the Japanese glasses chain Zoff (¥6,600): a mat for your glasses featuring Lisa Larson's cat Mikey in one of five random colors, a ¥10,000 glasses voucher and a 20% off ticket for light-adjusting lenses.
- In store: from the first business day of 2027, which varies by building. Not every store sells it
- The voucher works only at Zoff stores in Japan, Jan 4 – Mar 31, 2027, so plan a glasses stop during your trip
- Japanese name: Zoff｜LISA LARSON 福袋2027
DEAN & DELUCA Winter Lucky Bag 2027
The Sweets Time Assortment (¥8,640 including tax) packs a red shopping tote, a steel bottle, a New Year cookie tin, coffee, tea and chocolates. Stores start selling it at their first sale of 2027, one per person. The official online store shows it as sold out.
Online only: Starbucks and Feiler
- Starbucks Lucky Bag 2027 (¥9,500 including tax and delivery): a limited bottle, 3 random goods, coffee beans and drink tickets. Lottery entry closes Nov 15 and requires a My Starbucks membership. Delivery is Jan 1–7, 2027
